2. Prepare for the Session: You will need a Windows laptop, a stable internet connection, and a specific USB-to-Ethernet adapter and cable (we will provide a link to the exact, inexpensive hardware required).
3. Remote Connection: Then, at the scheduled time, our technician will connect to your laptop. We will guide you on how to connect the cable to your vehicle's OBD port.
4. Software Flash & Activation: The technician will then take control and run the official JLR diagnostic software to fully update the IMC. They will also activate the Smartphone Pack feature flag within your vehicle's configuration file.
5. Verification: Finally, we will ask you to connect your phone to test Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and confirm the successful upgrade.
